I am a full member of Equity. As per the Equity Children’s Entertainers Code of Conduct, I agree to be:

§      Reliable: Be there at the prescribed time/place.

§      Clear: Offer a written confirmation (where practical) so the booker will be in no doubt.

§      Knowledgeable: Of children and the craft of entertaining them.

§      Responsible: By insisting that there is a responsible adult present when the entertainer is working.

§      Sensitive, flexible and adaptable: To fit a variety of audience types and complete the job satisfactorily.

§      Safe: With good quality, well maintained props and Public Liability Insurance to £10 million (automatic with Equity membership).

§      Value for money: With responsible, fair rates and terms.

§      Professional: Committed to delivery of a good service.

These conditions and any entertainment that takes please under them shall be governed and shall take effect in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

 

Date, Time, and Venue

 

The entertainment will take place on the day, at the time, and in the venue set out in the written confirmation as agreed between Steve Drury and the Client. If this is not to the client’s agreement then it is the responsibility of the customer to contact Steve Drury

 

Modifications

 

No modifications, additions, or deletions to these conditions shall be carried out by any party booking the entertainment without the written consent of Steve Drury. These conditions can only be modified or cancelled by mutual consent.

 

Deposits/Confirmations

 

No deposit is required for the engagement of services; however, written confirmation is required at the time of booking. The date of the engagement will be held for fourteen (14) days after the date of this confirmation letter. After this time, it may be made available to another client.

 

Fees

The fee for the entertainment is payable by cash, or cheque made out to S.J.Drury on the date of the performance. Advance payment via credit card can also be arranged.  .

 

Cancellations

 

Should the customer booking the entertainment decides to cancel with fewer than fourteen (14) days notice, the full fee will be payable. If more than fourteen (14) days but less than thirty (30) days notice is given, then 50% of the fee will be payable. Cancellations can be made in writing (standard post or email) or by telephone but cannot be accepted via an answer phone, voicemail or SMS text

 

Outside events

 

In the event that the entertainment booked is to be performed in the open air, alternative covered performance space (i.e. shelter) should be arranged to protect Steve Drury and his performance materials from inclement weather. If the provision of such shelter is not possible, the above-mentioned fee shall nevertheless by payable.

 

Video and sound recordings

 

Video and sound recordings can only be made with the written consent of Steve Drury and may only include those parts of the performance that have been agreed to in advance. Any such recording may only be used for private viewing or listening.
